NYU Cinema Studies Student Conference

Presenter Information

Media Testing Session

Tuesday, March 22, 10:30 am – 12:00 pm. All computer/internet users must attend the testing session to make sure their equipment is compatable with the school's connections.

What to Expect on Conference Day

1. Arrive Early

Please report to the Panelist Staging Area at least thirty (30) minutes before your panel is to start. We will be using the Cinema Studies Fishbowl (Room 643) as a staging area.

If you are unfamiliar with our department, give yourself plenty of time to locate the conference site and consult our directions page at http://www.cinematologists.com/2005/directions.shtml.

2. Have Your Materials

Panelists, have all of your media (tapes, disks, slides, etc.) on hand and ready, and complete the Media Manifest form so we don't lose your property. A Panelist Liaison will identify himself/herself to you and escort you to the venue.

Those using notebook computers should remember to disable power and screen saving capabilities (i.e., turn off your screen savers and don't let your computer go to sleep).

3. Good luck!

We all look forward to hearing your papers this weekend. Be sure to invite friends, colleagues, and everyone else.
